Tape Worm

(2019) A 22-meter long screen print on fabric featuring a repeating image captured from past skateboarding adventures, interspliced with the monsters of classic horror and sci-fi B-movies. When installed, the piece emulates the flowing, improvisational lines of a skateboarder, while the imagery evokes the fading of childhood into the past, and the monsters that haunt the edges of memory; a distance that mechanical reproduction can bring painfully, melancholically, close.
